At the foot of the 331 bridge on the Choctawhatchee Bay, Chef Jim Shirley has built an emporium of fun, food, and entertainment on the shore!

All in one spot in SoWal you'll find something for everyone at North Beach Social, The Bay, and Farm & Fire.

Chef Jim uses Southern accents with great skill and spirit, traveling far afield to graze and glean, absorb culinary ideas, select fine wines, and look for pockets of sustainable farming practices. As a Pensacola native, Chef Jim uses his knowledge of local waters and his families’ farming histories to promote “New Ruralism,” a movement to champion sustainable agriculture at the urban edge. Chef Jim is owner of several restaurants in Seaside: The Great Southern Cafe, 87 Central Square, The Meltdown On 30A, The C-Bar, b.f.f. and also the co-owner of  Great Southern Restaurants, which owns The Fish House, Angelena's, Palafox House, 5 Sisters Blue Cafe, Jackson's Steak House, The Atlas Oyster House, and The Fish House in Pensacola.

North Beach Social is your go-to spot for festive FUN this December. With live music, events, great food and drink specials -- there's something for the whole family to enjoy!

Wednesday, December 6: Santa Claus
Bring the family to North Beach Social on Wednesday, December 6th from 5-8pm to visit Santa! Enjoy face painting for the kids and be sure to order some of Chef Joyce's famous paella, served at North Beach Social and Farm & Fire on Wednesdays.

PAELLA Night
Chef Joyce and her famous dish can be found at North Beach Social and Farm & Fire on Wednesdays and at 87 Central in Seaside on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Orders are taken starting at 5:30 PM and paella is ready around 6:30 PM. Chef Joyce learned her famous recipe while in Spain, which she has continued to tweak over the years to bring some panhandle flair. Her use of chorizo instead of plain sausage adds a little extra spice kick, so this dish is not for the faint of heart!

Sunday Pickin' at The Bay with Mike Whitty and Friends is from 4-8PM every Sunday. Mike brings in new musicians to play every week. We always post who is playing by Saturday, so check The Bay's Facebook or Instagram pages for details ahead of the event.
