I know SoWal is funn, but want to know more about what to expect/look for/must sees, so I can make the most of my short, whirlwind tour! So speak to me, please....

Well...I didn't get to wear mine...soooo...it's coming out again!

Where to start....it's the salty air, the smell of the ocean, the gorgeous emerald waters, the slower pace, the grayt food, the many things to do, biking, walking the beach, shelling, hiking the many trails, the sunrises and sunsets, fishing, surfing (ask Bobby J), and most of all....it is the people! You will meet a wide variety of good people, from all walks of life! who have started out with this place in common and have formed true friendships...as I hope you will.

My favorite thing about SoWal is how everybody tries to pull one over on you and tell you everything is a week off.

In other words if they tell you that a certain band is playing on the 28th they are really playing on the 21st. It has become a running joke and is kinf of funny unless you show up a week late. So be sure to show up 7 days before people tell you to or you will be all alone and the joke will be on you and they will all start a thread and watch the BeachCam and laugh at you.

It's so cute unless you are the one standing on the beach alone.
