I shall not be in town to give, but I just wanted to give the thumbs up for blood donation. I used to be a regular donator but my veins are small and crooked and I got so tired of being jabbed multiple times that I eventually gave it up. Until I got an emergency call from our local blood center this winter--all the snowstorms had severely reduced the number of people coming in to give, and they really needed blood.

I went in for the first time in years and I'm happy to say how much better it is now to donate! I don't know whether technician training is more thorough now than in the past, but truly, it was such an easy experience to give my blood that I have become a "regular" again.

Try it. Blood donations save at least three lives. It's a wonderful thing to do for your fellow human beings.
