I was able to put a shoe on my left foot tonight. If it weren't for the meds, I'd pop a bottle of bubbly.
99% of the population is defined by its stupidity and greed. Sadly, the percentages are higher for politicians, bankers and journalists.

Hey, Lynnie. Stay away from Piedmont in Midtown. There is a woman throwing pee there. Lots of police sirens. As our daughter said, "I am curious as to how she is doing this, but don't want to get hit with said pee."

Cheech of Cheech and Chong (my favorite of his movies is Up in Smoke) [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vdL9Dy5DIvQ"]YouTube - Cheech & Chong Low Rider[/ame] is really smart. Woah, I didn't know that. He was on Jeopardy this week, and it is amazing how much he knows.
Inhale.

I love Sunday afternoon naps too, especially with a golf tournament or pro football on TV and the volume turned down low.

I wonder where Katie Couric got those gorgeous diamond earrings that she had on today on CBS Sunday Morning, not that I could even begin to afford them.

Wondering why it bothers me so much that someone can't be bothered with spell check when it is so easy anymore.
I just read a post in the Local Government forum that had up to 5 misspelled words in 3 paragraphs.
Just click control then the word for spell check. You'll need more help with the grammar though. ..

Dear Mr. Haberny,
After sending back your zip lock bag of bag of gold painted rocks that you considered “14 karat gold nuggets found on a soul searching pilgrimage in Tibet with a quadriplegic hooker you picked up in Singapore,” we find it truly unfortunate that you can not understand the concept of “Do Not Contact Us Again.”
Your fraudulent attempt to extort money from our seasoned geologists (who are experts in identifying precious metals) has forced us to take extreme action; this is your final warning before we contact the authorities. Your “rocks” have shown up in our inventory three times now. We will not longer attempt to return them, but will keep them as evidence. You are not entitled to any money, especially the ludicrous amount of $1,423,061.92 you demand for your Cash 4 Gold payment. Your petition for an “ungreased backdoor; Hammertime lovemaking session” with our telemarketer’s Carol and Tracy is feral and preposterous. Your absurd request to be reimbursed for postage ($167.45, 138.33 & $142.73) is unwarranted and completely illicit. As a reminder Mr. Haberny, Ed McMahon passed away June 23, 2009. It is not only disrespectful but also utterly moronic to request that he host your birthday party at McDonalds.
This is the last time that we will be in contact with you.
Sincerely,
Jeff Aronson

Dang the Coons. Just let the Saints go ahead. They've disappointed me since I was a child. My parents had season tickets, and we went every Sunday after church. Saints just scored a TD.

Sad day. Hubby went to Roger Milliken's funeral today. Mr. Milliken was an industrial magnate, but to hubby he was a father figure, great friend, and mentor. He attended our 25th anniversary party at our home. He had a breakfast date with our daughter to help him write a letter of recommendation for her to Yale, his alma mater. He teased hubby when she picked MIT over Yale.
He will be truly missed by us. And the world.

why did I pick up "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo"? It has caused me to read all night long and basically ruin my first week of the New Year! Now I gotta read the second one... then the third..

You're in good company - my recent post midnight reads are not helping me with my resolutions/sleep either.

Because they make you cry? Get the sweet ones. Or because of time? Our daughter has watched so much Food Network that she can chop an onion in no-time flat. I'm just about there.

Garlic is what I hate to chop. I've started buying multiple heads, only using the big, outer cloves and tossing the tiny ones. Saves time.
