    Yellow flies?

    Or is it my imigination but I sure thought they were back yesterday - a little early for them but ........OUCH!!!

    Anyone else seen them yet?

    Not yet, but the magnolias are blooming and that's my timeline for yellow flies.

    Seagrover- I guess they didn't teach you how to spell at Auburn?

    I live on Baker Canal and when I got home last evening from having been out of town for a few days the yellow flies were here to greet (BITE) me. Hate those things...am so allergic to them. Last year I had Florida pest control do their mosquito spray around the exterior house walls & yard. It also helped control the yellow flies all summer long. I've had them spray this year also. It doesn't eradicate the yellow flies but it helps tremendously...otherwise in my neighborhood they'll just eat you alive. I'd much rather deal w/ the chemical spray effects than those truly wicked fly bites!

    I haven't seen those monsters yet..I'm knocking on wood as I type but I always thought they came out around ArtsQuest in April. ArtsQuest was later this year as in May. weird.

    Thanks for the warning. My dog and I (and hopefully hubby if he can get away) are arriving on Sunday.

    SoWal with biting flies is better than here anytime.
