Storm Shutters

Anyone recommend a recent experience with a storm shutter company? I'm looking at storm screens which look labor intensive to put up when a storm approaches and accordions which look more expensive but easier to lock down when storm is bearing down. Thoughts or recommendations on any local company?

Thanks...I did actually do search and will follow-up with the 2-3 firms mentioned in the posts. However, most of these were from 2005 so I'm looking for any recent experience with a reputable firm locally (to bid/install accordion style storm shutters).

Remember that the shutters only work when they're closed and it is VERY difficult to find someone who isn't already busy w/ hurricane prep if you need the house closed up before a storm hits.

extreme storm protection has been in the area for 10 years.. very quick response. very good installers. good variety of products.

We've purchased some from A Shade Above on 83 just south off of 98. Made from aluminum with a variety of different colors available. Custom fitted and installed.

Hey Charlie! Welcome to SoWal, great to see you here! I can highly recommend Charlie for your hurricane shutter needs. He did both of our houses after Ivan and all three types of shutters we had installed worked like a charm when Dennis came along! Very knowledgeable and easy to work with.
