Anyone on west end tonight hear the noise?

Okay, just wondering what the bleep is going on. Sounds like a cross between fireworks, bombs & thunder. I can't see anything out my back door and just wanted to find out if anyone knew the deal.

Fireworks going off right now toward Panama City Beach, not sure if it the same thing you are hearing

Earlier this afternoon, I think Eglin was exploding some bombs. They sounded a bit different though, similar to the rumbling of distant thunder, but different. I wasn't in town when you reported hearing the noise.

Judging by the time of your post, it was the fireworks going off at Beachside II at Sandestin. A fair amount of the loud boomers mixed in with the pretty sparklers.
