5 weeks and counting

In five glorious weeks my hubby and I will be rolling into Inlet Beach. Yay!

We already have part of our time there planned out.

Canoeing at Econfina Creek
Canoeing at the Blackwater River
A couple of Bay side waverunner rides
Hitting the Alvin's Islands-always a fave of mine!

Oh yeah, I forgot about us renting a couple of scooters. A must do!

Would also love to go to Wakulla Springs but we only have 7 days there so may have to settle for Falling Waters State Park at Chipley. Would love to hit Florida Caverns State Park also at Marianna. But we want to be able to enjoy the beach also. So, some of that may have to be cut out.

Wished we could stay two weeks but we can't. Hope to meet IBD and Little IBD since they live right across 98 from us.

Cannot wait to get there. I need a vacation bad. Been under too much stress. Vacation cannot come soon enough.

Yeah, gotothebeachmom, first he said we were going to do nothing but sit on the beach, but now he has the other plans. We will be tired after two times of canoeing. As that takes all day. The waverunner tours are only two hours so that won't be bad. And the scooters we will do only once probably. That doesn't really tire one out very much. That's why we take our vacation right before Labor Day so we have an extra day to rest. I would like to go visit those springs but I doubt we will do so. And we may end up only doing one canoe trip. It depends. But we will have fun whatever we do.

Ladyd, I am so excited for you! Five weeks seems like such a long time, I'm sure. Can't wait to live vicariously through your beach trip report!

Johnrudy, I would like for us to leave on either Thursday or Friday and drive to Mobile and spend the night and go to Bellingrath Gardens and visit the battleship and the submarine also. Since I am taking a half day on Thursday and all day Friday we could easily do that. Still trying to talk the hubby into it.

Bellingrath Gardens is beautiful. The USS Alabama is a must see. Be sure to eat at Wintzell's!

My brother and his family live in Mobile. I haven't seen them since I was last down to the beach 6 years ago.

I know Bellingrath Gardens is beautiful. My mom and dad went there many years ago. I have a hardback book from Bellingrath Gardens that they bought. I would love to go on the USS Alabama.
