A Man-Made Surfer's Paradise?
A Man-Made Surfer's Paradise?
Brevard County will explore a radical concept: whether building Florida's first-ever man-made surfing reef can bring big waves, a broader beach and more tourist dollars. County officials want enough facts in hand to avert an economic or ecological wipeout. They need assurances the reef can deliver as promised, won't worsen deadly rip currents or erosion, and would be more than just a gnarly ride for surfers.

Re: A Man-Made Surfer's Paradise?
i'm in hopes of a success. I think this is the new way to go for beach erosion and control vs. building walls up on the sand to protect your property line. and hey! you get killer surf!
