Believe it or not it is nothing more than a mathematical formula. Can I tell you what it is? Nope, but I have seen both David Copperfield and Penn from Penn and Teller explain it...

    Cool, though, huh?

lol. It's not even a mathematical formula.
    Here's the deal:
you pick a number. Each color has only five numbers. The next screen about picking a box with a color means nothing. Then, you are given five houses with numbers. Each house contains only one number from each color, so when you pick the house with your number, there is only one possible number. The other screens have no purpose, other than distraction and mystery.

"Ah ha!" said the blind man. I see it, now. There's another trick out there that asks you to pick a face card. Obviously, you focus on one so you don't notice on the next screen that they all have changed except for their color...

Hmmm, it was wrong twice when I picked the door on the left instead of the middle.

K, so......I can see THAT. Now I have a question.

Anyone ever play that little battery opperated game "20 questions"? How does THAT work?

It's correct like 90% of the time, we have tried all kinds of crazy things to stump it.

BUT, you are right NoHall, does take the fun out of it. hehehehe

Never heard of "20 questions." I'm still wondering how the Magic 8-Ball works so well at answering questions.

How does it know which door to put the chosen number behind? Does your computer process that as you click on it, so regardless of which one you click on, it is always going to be your number behind the first one chose. ??

no. It ask you to select the house with your number in it. None of the other numbers in that house are possible matches. Some aren't even listed on the first page. It goes only as high as 25.

No, at the end when you pick the door that has your number behind it. How does it know which door of the 3 you are going to pick.

They all have the same number behind the door, because there depending on which house you selected in the previous screen, there was only one answer as to which number was yours.

Ok, so before you pick a door, the number you have chosen is behind each door, but then after you choose, two other numbers are assigned to the other doors.

Sorry, I was wrong. I was only guessing that you could open only one door, and thought that "your" number was behind each door. Looks like your number is behind only the first door you open, then the other two doors contain other numbers, which don't change, by the way, if you continue to select the same number.

We have two of these in our house. Why, I don't know. However, right before Christmas I saw a cooler version, right up my alley.
