Just to set the record straight..

Look, folks, I am truly sorry this thing between Kimmi and myself got so out-of-hand. It's just one of those situations like a snowball rolling down a hill. Once it got going, it got too big and out of control.

It started with a post from Kimmi (an Auburn fan) saying UF would blow out Bama because Bama basically sucked. The fact it came from someone who didn't have a stake in the game either way just rubbed me the wrong way and it started a chain reaction. I think Bama proved Saturday that they most certainly do not suck.

Nevertheless, I had the power to stop it and did not.

My apologies to anyone who was offended.

Ditto here. I really didn't mean to make anyone mad or upset anyone. I thought it was all in good fun... But I know people take it very seriously. JB I think you may have me on ignore... But sorry again. Alabama has a great team, its just the rivalry. You know?

So hopefully this is all over with.

And you better hope you don't see Laner or J-funn or myself over new years or we will take your picture, make you an avatar and make t-shirts and buttons out of it. Acutally that goes fo all of Sowal!

No, you are not on ignore. Your posts are too entertaining for me to do that. I imagine you would probably be pretty fun to hang out with.

Yay! All love... No football talk! Glad we're back on track here.

You going to be in sowal around the holidays? That is when we are at our finest. We start gearing up for it the day after labor day!

We'll be down on October 14 for the weekend. Just the wife and I. The holidays may be hard, as we have a 16-week-old at home right now.

Our last trip down for New Year's was miserable. Cold, sleet, nasty. We couldn't even go to the bonfires because the weather was so nasty. Plus, we had a bad experience in a restaurant on New Year's eve and actually got up and left. We ended up getting takeout from Nick's and ate it while watching Dick Clark. Not one of our better trips.

But we will bringing ourselves and baby for a 10-day trip in May. That should be interesting.

There should be no reason to stay away from football talk. Even if it makes you crazier than religion.

Just because a team is good or happens to get lucky on one particular day out of 11,000 doesn't mean you can't say they suck.

Kurt - for Pete's sake just come out and admit it. Give us some love, baby!

We completely exposed Meyer's offense. Every single team that plays UF this year will be watching tapes of Bama's defensive game plan. If you may recall, I said three months ago that Leak may not be the best guy to run the spread option. Of course you guys could have trotted Mike Vick out there on Saturday and it wouldn't have made much difference.

And I haven't even mentioned what our offense did. I'll save you some bandwidth on that one

I am really glad to see this resolved. We have to remember we are all working towards the same goal...SOWAL!!

Wait. I've got it. To make sure there are no hard feelings, can we have JB and Kfun sing a duet. "I'm a little bit country, I'm a little bit rock 'n' roll." We can decide later who takes on what role. Or maybe "I've got you babe."

    Just a thought......

Jfun and I will join you!

I found this thread amusing, even the abrasive edge at one point. I grew up in a football family and my husband is a big fan of hockey rather than football. We always joke that had there been this much football tv coverage when we were growing up, our family might have had one kid instead of three! Anyway, on the positive side, the debate on this Web site could have been a fistfight instead of a battle of words, had it taken place in a sports bar instead of via the Web site. I miss how seriously we Southerners take our football. Go Seminoles!

Don't know about Kimmie, but Kurt and I will be performing at Sea Bar on Sunday October 16. He will sing while doing the Gator chop. I will play guitar, then kick him in the crotch

There was one photo that showed the leg right at impact. Horrible. It was in every paper in the state. The Montgomery paper actually showed a closeup of the bone sticking through his shin. I thought that was a little over-the-line.

Amen to that brother. This thing was awful. Shins aren't supposed to bend at a 90 degree angle.

I've got it but for some reason it won't let me attach it. The pic will give you a greater appreciation for those players.

Oh, God! How macabre! But send me the link.

On another note, glad everyone has kissed and made up.

BTW now that I've gotten over the shock of having the Gators getting totally humiliated by UA, I have started breathing again. I still haven't decided if UA was really good or UF F'ed Up, or both.

Trust me when I tell all y'all this - you don't want to see it. It is sickening. I have a pretty strong stomach and I damn-near threw up when I saw it.

If anyone remembers the Monday Night Football game when Joe Theismann broke his leg against the Giants, it was ten times worse than that.

Wow...that's good to hear. Oh my gosh...can't quit picturing that. They had one of the guy on top of him and the 3rd leg looked like the defenders. Clearly it was just a big sack of skin with a bone in it hangin to the left...

Just found it. I saw it when it happened, but never thought it was this bad. Poor Guy. He sure was a champ though when they took him out of the stadium. They would have had to knock my A@# out right there on the field with an injury like that!!!!

Yes, he had surgery Saturday night. As bad as it looked it was a clean break and there was no nerve damage. He had a rod placed in his leg to assist healing. He should start rehab in about eight weeks.

The good news (at least for Bama fans and Ty) is that unlike a knee injury, he should be able to come back from this 100 percent. He may or may not be ready for spring practice, but he should be fine for fall camp next August.
