Is this guy from Niceville? Subtract 20-something years and 40-something pounds and I think I may have dated this guy in high school for a while.

Used to take him FOREVER to wash, dry, and fix his hair to go out.

I agree with this. I Hated Tom Cruise's hair in "Fourth of July", but loved Orlando's hair and Brad Pitt's hair in various movies. My favorite long haired man is Bon Jovi. I like the artistic look, so long hair says that to me.
I think long hair and a goatee are sexy, I am still looking for one of these guys, that still look sexy at my age....

IMO there are only a few guys who can pull off longer hair and even fewer who can pull off long hair (as in anything that makes a ponytail instead of a nub). If you have good hair, a longer style/cut can be nice and still somewhat professional looking - more surfer than Willie Nelson.

It really depends on your personality/face shape etc. but if the hairstyle you are considering has even a passing resemblance to ANY of the styles in the previous 4 pages - hells no!
