Re: Audit of Sheriff's Office notes internal problems
This chucklehead just sits in his office everyday and will communicate with no one? Oh, and spends our tax money like it's in his personal bank account? With apparently, no accountability? His own employees must fill out written forms to gain an audience with him? WTF? There is no test track, just cleared land? I really wanted to check it out with mrs sandybanks(his personal friend and biggest supporter). Is there any way this person can be removed from office immediately, before he does more damage to the county, that's reported in the media far and wide, making us look like a bunch of idiots to the rest of the state/country?? Can he be made to pay back the missing funds before he leaves office?

Re: Audit of Sheriff's Office notes internal problems
Ladies and gentlemen your current sheriff has been taken to the "Ole Woodshed" by this audit. It really doesn't get much worse than that spanking.
Ooops - I forgot its "just politics".
The bozo needs to be removed from office. There is plenty within this audit to have him removed for his actions.
Anyone have the phone number to Charlie Crist Office ? I need it.

Re: Audit of Sheriff's Office notes internal problems
I think Ralphie's secretary has it in her address book. It's right behind the "CO" section for COOKING CLASS!! Oh, here it is....Crist.
I know...I know....I need to quit, but I couldn't resist it.

Re: Audit of Sheriff's Office notes internal problems
I believe his secretary to be an honorable lady who cares about Walton County.
It is my opinion the Sheriff is doing a great job and so are his deputies. I believe that any deputy who wishes to speak to the Sheriff would only have to notify their supervisor and would not have any problem seeing him.
It is easy to say things about people who are not present but I assure you that if you were to ask almost any deputy they would have nothing but praise for the current Sheriff.
If anyone were to have a serious issue that warranted a talk with the Sheriff, it is my experience that they would have absolutely no problem talking to him.
He is thoughtful, courteous and kind."When you shoot an arrow of truth, dip its point in honey”

Re: Audit of Sheriff's Office notes internal problems
It is easy to throw stones at people who are in the arena of life and are trying to serve their fellow man, but I am disappointed to see some of the unfounded allegations against a man who I believe is one of the hardest working men in Walton County.
I am sure that these allegations are nothing more than a smear campaign against an honest, hard working man.
Walton County can be proud of their Sheriff and deputies. I am proud to say that I support the current Sheriff and will see to it that the truth about him and the rest of the Walton County deputies gets out to the public.

Re: Audit of Sheriff's Office notes internal problems
We are waiting to hear .....I'd be happy to hear something good...please.....tell us. The auditors are neutral...so are they the ones smearing the sheriff? Who is he going to blame? It's his administration and HIS responsibility...not some poor bookkeeper getting her orders from Ralph. It seems problems from last year's audit were not corrected? Where does the blame lie? Answer: The man we elected (whether we liked it or not) THAT IS HIS JOB......If someone falls down on their job..it is HIS fault...because...that is why he was elected.
Even if he picked up the phone and/or showed up for a meeting..he couldn't explain his way out of his troubles at this point. He's hiding now...under the blanket of "it's a political conspiracy" because he doesn't have any better excuses.
As a citizen and taxpayer in Walton County...I want answers.....You got em'???? Give hem up.Last edited by seagrovegirl; 04-03-2008 at 06:23 PM.

Re: Audit of Sheriff's Office notes internal problems
The Sheriff’s Office was also bilked out of $10,316 during a e-mail scheme last June because an employee gave out a password and personal identification number to an account that had about $1.8 million in it at the time of the thefts.But IMO, should NOT be privy to passwords/million$ account #s unless she is aware of the most common of email scams. I mean how dense do you have to be to realize that a bank will not EMAIL you for account info. EDIT >>>I am sorry but I have just found that the person responsible for this was the CFO, not the secretary.Sorry for any misunderstandingI believe his secretary to be an honorable lady who cares about Walton County.Last edited by jodiFL; 04-03-2008 at 05:31 PM.

...I was just fixing to tell you that you are bordering on slander. Be careful what is being put out on these threads. If you say something, you need to have the facts to back it up...
slander= uttered
libel= written
no names were offered and what was discussed is a matter of personal opinion. ianal, mrs banks, but you are straying further and further from reality. tick tock...Last edited by John R; 04-03-2008 at 06:04 PM. Reason: to add sb quote

I can assure you that the Sheriff's secretary is as honest as they come.
Nobody had said the secretary isn't honest...but there are internal security controls that keep honest people honest....like door locks.

Re: Audit of Sheriff's Office notes internal problems
Wow..seems that our infamous Sheriff has alot of supporters willing to overlook his shortcomings. I wish I always had that type of support in my job. I just always got fired when I screwed up as bad as he has. I cant believe he was still in office after the little incident of his brother, I think, I'm not stating as FACT because it was SOOO long ago that my memory is a bit cloudy, waiting to stop drug dealers until they were in Walton Co. on I-10 so that Walton CO. would get the proceeds from said bust.
According to the recommendations in that audit there arent as many as there need to be ..either that or they just havent been told about them or care to adhere to them.Nobody had said the secretary isn't honest...but there are internal security controls that keep honest people honest....like door locks.Last edited by jodiFL; 04-03-2008 at 06:46 PM.

Re: Audit of Sheriff's Office notes internal problems
It isn't slander or libel to state one's personal opinion of the clusterpuck that is the current Sheriff's office! Especially when what you are saying/commenting on is "old news" that has been reported and verified by several local papers.

Go ahead, try and sue someone for saying "someone is an idiot for emailing financial information to an unknown source and causing a loss to taxpayers of tens of thousands of dollars". Maybe you'll get an honorable mention in the goofy news section, because that's not actionable, that's fact!
