"The Loco Locals" will be rockin' the house at the Gulf Place Memorial Day Concert tonight from 7 to 9 pm.! They were voted "Best House Band" in the Northwest Florida Daily News "Best of the Best" Reader's Poll in 2007 and if you come out tonight, you'll see why! Their special "swamp funk-southern bluesy rock-meets the beach-kinda music will have you dancin' in the sunset, for sure! The band members - Blue Lew (guitar, harmonica, vocals), Ted Cobena (drums), Butch Blasingame (guitar, bass, mandolin, vocals), Nora Wixted-Hogue (keyboards, guitar, vocals) and special guest "Chef Wayne Edwards" (percussion) have recently released their first CD "It is waht it is and it ain't what it ain't!" which will be available for sale at the concert. After you hear them, you'll definitely want to take them home with you! So pack up your kids, coolers, beach chairs, blankets -and don't forget yo' mama! - and come out to Gulf Place (corner of 393 and 30A) and pass a good time!!!
And to keep the good times rollin', Blue Lew and Ted - "Quite the Duo"- will be appearing immediately after the concert at Stinky's Fish Camp (just down the road) hosting the famous Singer-Songwriter/Jam Sundays...Always SO much fun! You never know who will show up to play! And if all that dancin' at the concert makes you hungry, don't worry! Stinky's has the best music and seafood on 30A!!! We'll see you there!
