Historic home for sale in downtown DeFuniak Springs

This is one of DeFuniak Springs' beautifully refurbished homes in a quiet neighborhood only six blocks to Lake DeFuniak and downtown. DeFuniak Springs is a 30 minute drive to the Gulf of Mexico and a 10 minute drive to some of Florida's gorgeous springs in Ponce de Leon.

This home for sale has original and updated hardwood flooring in bedrooms, living, dining and foyer with tile in kitchen and bath. Other historical features include high ceilings, large baseboards and trim, built-in cabinets and shelving, french doors in the foyer and claw foot tub in the upstairs bath. In addition to 3 bedrooms, the home has a separate office/library and Florida room.

The large yard is full of mature camellias, azaleas, pecan trees and a grape vine, all providing beautiful colors throughout the year. The detached two car garage also features a nice-sized workshop.

    3 bedroom
    2 bath
    2,200 square feet
    Asking $249,000

    MLS #494293

I've toured that home several times, and absolutely love it, and the HUGE lot upon which it sits.

Neat house! Double fireplaces? Heart pine floors? Built in the 1920s, with the front columns added later? Love it.
