Re: The morning after...
Looks like the remnants of a great event! Our kitchen was a wreck yesterday, too, and we were only preparing things to take to the MIL's! I ended up wishing we'd just hosted and stayed home instead.

Re: The morning after...
Isn't the day after just the best? Turkey sandwiches on Wonder Bread, with leftover cranberry sauce, a piece of cold sweet potato pie, and a glass of milk. We are watching the rain come down, trying to decide on a matinee movie, and I will pay some pennance at the gym later today. Tomorrow it's a shopping and car show day in San Francisco, an early dinner at Tadich Grill (100+ year old seafood joint) for the season's first cracked Dungeness crab, and home on the ferry. The holiday lights of the City are so beautiful from the stern of that departing ferry. It is a double catamaran, so a very comfortable and speedy trip. You cannot pay me to drive and search for expensive parking in the City anymore!
Next week is the annual trek to New York for more of the same, but with theater, too. We are going to Per Se, Thomas Keller's new restaurant in the Time Warner Building, for the first time. Also will see "Light in the Piazza." Has anyone seen this show and did you enjoy it?
Big news from the family in DeFuniak yesterday...my nephew is moving to New York on Thursday. He's already lined up a job and an apartment to share with others in DUMBO. He's very excited and I am happy for him, but the family is

Re: The morning after...
Well I woke up this morning sick as a dog. It has been a long time since I have been this sick, as of this writing I am just now able to get out of bed. Aches, pains, chills, fever, sore throat, and nausea. I am feeling better so hopefully it is going away.

Poor baby! It's miserable being sick over a holiday weekend.
