October 20th a Day to Remember the Brave Flight Crew of AirHeart 1

Tom Palcic, a pilot for Metro Aviation, was a highly respected pilot with 27 years of experience.

Jack Chase, a registered nurse employed by Sacred Heart, joined the AirHeart team in 2002.

Robert Heighton, a firefighter/paramedic, was a veteran of the South Walton Fire District.

Thank you for posting this reminder of the sacrifices that are made for us in the time of need. Jack Chase (and his wife Kathy, aka, Special K) was my and Crazy k's best friend. What a horrible day that was. God Bless the entire flight crew as well as their families. We miss you..........

Jack had a smile that lit up the room, and was one of the most genuine people that I've ever had the pleasure of knowing.

I know that these guys are missed every day by those who loved them; extra thoughts and prayers to the families on the 20th, as we honor their bravery and their memories.

I remember the storm that night. I've weathered many a storm on the bay, but that one was particularly nasty.

Jack was a very special person/friend to me. This day will haunt me forever.

God's speed to all.....and the best of health/safety to all the brave souls who provide air medical services to our community.
