$100 Sears Gift Card
Sears royally messed up the delivery of an appliance to my rental unit recently-
TWICE...
Anyway, when they sent me an invitation to complete a customer satisfaction survey I provided them with an honest assessment of my experience...
As a result, they sent me a $100 Sears Gift card- which I have no plans on using. SO...
Anyone want to buy it?
I would like to get at least $50 cash for it...
My thought is I will leave this posting out here over the weekend. Don't PM me- post your offers so everyone can see.
When I wake up Monday morning- whoever has made the highest offer (of at least $50) gets the gift card...
I will drive it to you/meet you as far as Destin or Alys Beach...
Cheers, G

Not a bad idea. But I will stick with Plan A which is to sell it and use the proceeds to load my freezer with 1.99 chicken breast from Publix. Yes, I am that broke right now...
EDIT: But if someone else out there who isn't broke at the moment would like to buy it and use it to purchase goods and then donate those goods- SUPER!
Kitty? It *was* your idea...

Sell it on ebay. You'll get $85 or $90 for it, no less than $80.
Kitty's idea is good too, but if you are feeling broke, ebay is the way to go!!
Also: put Land's End in the listing title, I think Land's End takes all Sears cards (but check that out first).Proud to practice indoctrination

I'll bet habitat for humanity would gladly take that off your hands as well.

Heck I will give you $50 for it.

Pun intended- it was AAbsolutely a win-win!

Very successful Sowal auction and transaction.
I guess this is the equivalent of (mutual) positive feedback...

thx for bringing us all together, Kurt!

EDIT: SHELLY. you should see how much boneless skinless chicken breast I bought at Publix tonight! The cost of the quarter leg/thighs was tempting. But factoring for health/diet and the cost/weight of the bone (and the labor associated with working around it)- I think I got the better value...Last edited by Geo; 01-12-2009 at 11:05 PM.

Don't sell the leg/thighs of chicken short. The legs and thighs can be roasted or BBQd, the meat removed and the bones can be used to make chicken stock for chicken noodle soup; or just toss the legs and thighs in some water to simmer along with some aromatic veg, herbs and spices; strain the broth, remove the meat from the bones and use it all to make some chicken and dumplings. (If you let the stock set in the fridge overnight, you can remove the fat the next day to make it a bit more healthy)
