    Hi Shea,
This is Becky, Nathan's mom. I am very sorry to hear you all were robbed, how horrible. Any leads yet to who might have done this?

    Becky

That's not suppose to happen here. We are living in desperate times. I have no idea who did this but let us all know how we can help.

OMG So sorry to hear this happened to you. We have had a number of break-ins especially over the past two years. But no luck on catching them. Fortunately we do not keep money in the cafe. But, they have broken things and taken the liberty to grab food items, beer and wine. AND, someone broke our men's bathroom door.....off the hinges, as we keep those locked at night. Must have really had to go!!!! And, they leave sand all over the place. The only clue we have is they are probably drunk and came off the beach. The police have helped, but there was nothing to really find.

Good luck Shea. It is such an invasion....and to have money stolen at this time would make me a bit crazy!!!!! Keep us informed if anything comes of an investigation.

Thanks for all the replies... We live in a great place but sometimes these things happen I suppose... See you all around town.

Thanks Kat. It is frustrating, but we just have to keep moving forward and try to be smarter (like not keeping cash overnight)...Keep the doors deadbolted!

    Thanks again.

locks are made for honest people, but the more difficult you can make it for the crooks, like locking the deadbolt, the less likely they will be to break in. I used to lock myself out of the house on occasion, and with only the door knob locked, I can get in faster with my library card than I can with my key. Not sure why I even locked the door.

I'm really sorry to hear this, too. Hope you get some extra business to make up for it (I'd go to Flip Flops to get my beignets, but I'm not there right now).
