One thing that sets man apart from many other species on the planet is an opposable thumb. It allows us to do many things that other creatures can't do.
Now imagine what it would be like if your pet had thumbs. Do you get a clear image of your pet with thumbs? Are you seeing your pet doing things with their new thumb? If so, your mind is in spirit with today. Note: If you have a pet monkey, you already know what it would be like for your pet to have thumbs.

Yes, chimpanzees have thumbs! Maybe the homosapiens would no longer be the species of higher intelligence if all animals had thumbs.

I don't know if my animals learn from me, but I have learned a lot from them.

I am glad my half-Siamese doesn't have thumbs! He already picks up everything that's not nailed down. I once caught him dragging a 3 pound bag of cat food around the kitchen. If he had thumbs we'd be missing twice as many pens and pencils as we already are.

Wow- thumbs- awesome! MacGregor, Fiona, and Troubles could get their own dam* ride tot he vet and groomers. They could hitchhike!

Not sure how Zak the parakeet would look with thumbs. I'm thinking kind of creepy, and he would be able to open his cage door, and escape before I could turn off the ceiling fans.

My FFF cat really wants thumbs. He paws at the newspaper constantly. I used to think he was about to pee on it, but it suddenly dawned on me one day that he was trying to pick it up. I felt sorry for him--I wondered if he was a reincarnation gone bad.

you have got to be kidding.

I wonder if my hermit crabs have thumbs. I don't think so. just claws and weird pincers. they could have a thumb inside their shells. don't really know.
