FDEP re-evaluating Walton County's Coastal Construction Control Line location

I am surprised there hasn't been any discussion on the FDEP moving the Coastal Construction Control Line in Walton County. Did anyone see this article or attend the workshop?

The original Coastal Construction Setback Line was established in 1975 after two years of study. In 1981 the first study was done for what is now the CCCL and in 2008 a second study was completed.

The Bureau of Beaches plans to adopt the reestablishment of the CCCL in 2009. Across coastal areas in Florida, the CCCL is being reestablished to protect $150 billion worth of property along the beaches, as well as marine habitats.

The reestablishment of the CCCL in Walton County will affect 96 properties.
"The line drawn was decided using a numerical model that is used to determine probable erosion," Chalecki said.
As an aside, this not to be confused with an Erosion Control Line for a beach nourishment project.

Do we know in what area(s) the 96 properties are located?

The majority of the properties most affected by teh proposed CCCL are in the western portion of 30-A. The maps are available for view at the Planning Dept. on 331 at the Annex.
