Author and railroad historian Tom Moody will present his new book "Fred de Funiak, Engineer" to the Walton County Heritage Museum (WCHM) at a special ceremony on Sunday, March 15, at 3 p.m. at 1140 Circle Drive, DeFuniak Springs. Fox de Funiak III, great-grandson of Frederick de Funiak, will also be in attendance. Moody has authored six books and is a volunteer and historian at the West Florida Railroad Museum in Milton. Come purchase this new book and support your Walton County Heritage Museum. It is also a rare chance to meet a de Funiak family member. Fox is the last male in the line of direct descent. Good rainy day activity. Yes, the name is spelled differently from the city. The regular hours for the musem is Wednesday - Saturday 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are appreciated and needed. Many volunteers work to keep the museum open and operating.

That sounds like a welcome addition to the strore of local history, thanks for letting us know about it. The Library itself is worth the drive for the weapons collection and historic atmosphere.John Broussard, 850-737-0376
