  1. a masterful review of flip flops grill

after a long week visit in florida i have been to numerous restuarants that say they have the best burger around. however there can only be one number 1 burger. by far with out a doubt flip flops grill dominated all other burgers. between the thick pattys and great flavour the burger is a successful lunch or dinner. by far the bread is the winning touch on the burger... i am going again tomorow and i will have to try their special mayo. all in all flip flops grill does HAVE THE NUMBER BURGER AROUND......... also flip flops grill is a simple family restuarnt do not dress up and there are no reservations.

Flip-Flops ... definitely the best burger in SoWal!

You should also try the double (or triple) cheeseburger at H&M in DeFuniak. HEAVEN ON EARTH! Much better than the nationally-renowned Five Guys, which is pretty awesome until you've tried H&M.

Also try the Chicago-style dog and the Italian sausage "dog" at H&M, dressed for your pleasure.

We also ate at Flip Flops this week on our visit to SoWal, and we think it is a "must visit" restaurant as well! It is the one restaurant that our kids ask to go back to.
    ...just beach dreaming...

H&M? It's in a shed. Very inexpensive. And just being there is entertaining. Love interacting with the people there. Just average people with no pretentiousness. I like that. The hand-patted burgers are wonderful.

    turkey po-boy

Their Turkey po-boy rocks too. The toasted bread is great!

Even though we can walk to Flip-Flops, if we don't have cereal and fruit at home, we do Hibiscus (spinach frittata and chocolate-chip pancakes) or Red Bar ($4 for 2 eggs/meat/grits or taters/biscuits or toast.

Flip Flops is in the yellow condo on 30A in Seagrove, between One Seagrove Place and the intersection of 30A and Eastern Lake Road.

H & M is in historic downtown Defuniak Springs.

I had to register with this forum just so that I could say what a great burger I've had at the flip flops grill. I live in Indiana and have only vacationed in Seagrove Beach twice, but I still can't stop thinking about the burgers I had there. I can't wait to go back to Seagrove in part to get another burger at flip flops.

We eat their QUITE a bit since we live just a block or two from it.

The shrimp poboy and grouper poboy are both delicious and I crave the cheeseburgers frequently. Plus, I am a huge fan of the FRENCH FRIES. Just plain ol' fashioned fries, not 'extra crispy' or 'battered' or 'seasoned'.

Shay, please leave your fries just like they are, dear!
