thank u katz and kurt. nice to know u like shih tzus too. hehehe. my puppy's name is "toushiro". he is name after a japanese anime character. hey, i haven't brought him yet to a beach,....is there any permit needed if i bring him one day in sowal beach? will he be allowed to walk on the beach? or is there a specific beach there that permits dogs?

Beethoven, yes you need to have a permanent address in Walton County and have a permit to take your dog to the beach. The permits are $25 and can be purchased at the Walton County Courthouses.

thank you minnie..thank you analogman. too bad i live here in bonifay, around 30mins from defuniak. can i still get the permit even if i don't live in walton county?

I think you must have a WC address, but call the courthouse and ask.
