Car on beach at Ed Walline
Coming home from the Soiree last night, we saw a black car sideways and obviously stuck in the sand when they apparently attempted to drive down to the beach at Ed Walline. One of the two large wooden posts on either side of the opening was bent in what must have been contact with something. The car was gone this morning and I cannot find anything in the news. There were three cop cars there last night when we went by. Hope the chain was down when they went through or there should be lots of damage to that car.

I didn't see that story, I didn't know you could get a car on the beach at Ed Walline.
WaltonOUtdoors has a bizarre story about a boat left afloat in P.C. was later found in Alabama.

LOL! You can't get a car to the beach at Ed Walline. Illegal as well as very deep sand. Almost as deep as getting on at the Red Bar. That the car was sideways makes me believe they left the pavement at some rate of speed. Hoping nobody got hurt, but I'm willing to bet that someones wallet is a lot lighter this morning.

Oh, you can definitely get a car onto the beach at Ed Walline and Grayton. Getting off the beach is another story. I once heard a revved engine while I was on Grayton Beach at sunset. A Mercedes coupe was flying down sand road and made it half way between the Gulf and the flag pole, then sank quickly. (This is the two door convertible.)

I cant really laugh, I got a 4wd Pathfinder stuck halfway between the end of the road and the flagpole at Grayton. It hadnt rained in about 4 months and some pedestrians walked right out in front of me so I had to stop. Sank like a rock.

Walked the beach again this morning and when we got back, we went down and looked the the tracks closer. Chain was down and damage to the big wood post looked older, the post was solidly planted. It looks like someone might have thought about driving down tot he beach and then changed their mind and didn't make it back out. There were tracks where they turned West up the bank to try to turn around and that's probably where they got educated about driving on sand.
We went over to Navarre this weekend and rode bike from the last homes on Navarre Beach to Opal Beach. We must have seen a dozen vehicles stuck along the way because of people thinking they can just pull off the road anywhere they want to. I could have made a lot of money if I had brought my tug strap in the pickup.Anthony
