    Emerald Coast Middle School Track in SoWal Goes to State

    I heard some of the students from Emerald Coast Middle School in South Walton will be going to the Track State Meet in Tampa. Congratulations!!

    I don't know or have all the results from the Florida Middle School State Track Meet taking place this weekend, but I heard that Haley Anderson, who set a new Emerald Coast Middle School pole vault record at 6'6" at the regional (see story in today's Sun for this and other new Emerald Coast records), came in 4th at State with a 7 foot jump! Way to go, Haley. Great job for South Walton and Emerald Coast Middle School. Anxious to hear more results. They should be home tomorrow.
