my perfect margarita.....drink some tequila, drink some citrus juice, shake/dance....continue until you fall down......
-
OK...riddle me this: why put salt on the rim if you're gonna drink it thru a straw? Never drink a true margarita thru a straw...and it has to be in a true margarita glass, not a tumbler. You're not still a frat boy in PCB, are ya?
My mind tends to wander... but fortunately, it's so weak, it doesn't get very far...

I love Hussong's tequila myself-hard to find, in a hooch jug, fairly pricey and smooth as glass!
I shake mine martini style.
Fill shaker halfway 2/3 with ice, add 2 oz tequila, 1 oz cointreau, juice of a lime, splash of fresh squeezed grapefruit or orange juice, healthy splash of 7up, shake and serve (no salt for me).

2.5oz. Cabo Wabo Anejo
1oz. Cointreau
1oz.Grand Marnier
juice of 3 limes & 2 lemons (use above mentioned squeezer)
over 1 qt. ice (splash of Sprite if needed to fill glass)
"shake it like a polaroid picture"
pour into tall glass with salted rim
top with ANOTHER oz. of Granny ...
sip and repeat until you cant taste the tequila.
Or stand up.. whichever comes first.

it was heaven. yesterday.. hell today. the secret to these is to start the party with only 2. 3 at most. then move on to something else. we failed in this part yesterday. and now we must pay.
thanks for the help. I always forget the ratios when making a huge batch. the dargarita was a hit. BR - I was thinking this was the same recipe as yours but its a little different. will try yours next.
