For Purple Martin Lovers Like Me

I made a short video this morning of my beloved Purple Martins. HOW I WILL MISS THEIR HAPPY VOICES! I don't think I can have a house on my lot - I believe they love a more open space.

Do any of you have Purple Martins?

I believe you will have success with purple martins in Walton. I'm sure, since you have had them (nice video by the way) that they spend their time here in the summer months. Many folks around here put up boxes or hollowed out gourds in groups up high. They are truly a lovely bird and handy too as they eat up the mosquitoes.

Thanks! I don't think I will have enough space on my lot though for a martin house

There is a elderly gentleman right on the south side of 30A in Seagrove with many birdhouses. I thought I had spotted a purple martin house perched high, but I could be mistaken.

Seagrove is on the OTHER side of Seaside coming from BMB right? We saw a pm house in Grayton but it was in a very open spot! They were very happy!

Yes... Seagrove is right after Seaside going east on 30A.
