The Friends always have plants for sale at reasonable prices, just look for the potted plants on the north side of the mansion, pick out what you want and leave your donation in the box. Purchasing one of a kind Camellias and other plants is an easy way to help the park stay beautiful - tis' the season to plant your garden here in SoWal.

I am thinking about taking Imy up to Eden Gardens for a picnic today... We need to catch some bugs for her pet toad! lol I have three Camellia bushes on my balcony, but only one is in full bloom. My roses are coming back with a passion though, they are all taller than me now!
Only as high as I reach can I grow, only as far as I seek can I go, only as deep as I look can I see, only as much as I dream can I be.

I'm so glad they're really publicizing this festival. I've always thought the camellias were among the park's best-kept secrets! They have so many varieties, most years you can find camellias blooming for several months at a time of year when not much else pretty is happening with plants. We used to do tai chi in the little tucked-away camellia garden, felt like a world apart.

A camellia "Snowman" from Eden Gardens State Park is one of the few plants I've added to my yard. It finally has some beautiful camellias. The squirrels often found it in years past and would help themselves to the delicious blooms! Any day is a good day to go to this Florida State Park in Pt. Washington. Thanks to all the friends for this special event. The historic Wesley House is perfect in this lovely setting.
