Watercolor Art Show

Has anybody been to the Art Show at Watercolor before? Thinking about driving over from PCB. I know that will take up most of my day because if I head over there, I have to stop everywhere, can't help it, and just wanted to know if the show is worth it

it's nothing too great gordie hinds and justin gaffrey are the best ones there. there really isn't that many artist there.

The Art Show was funn and the weather is great, except for a cool wind on the beach. Artists report a good turn out of customers, and are pleased with the show. I am sure it will grow each year.

It was absolutely gorgeous and I drove over from PCB and straight back (not a thousand stops as usuall) on 98 to be with the girls.

Nice beginning for the show at Watercolor.

Gordie Hinds is an amazing outta-nowhere story. Great artist who stumbled on his own talent at mid-life. (See 2005 Coastal Living story, sorry I don't have the link). I'd love to have a piece of his art in my SRB home.

do you mean Jessiefunn?? Not that I don't trust her judgement .....but I like to pick out my own art...especially if it is $$, as I am sure his is...even if he is a late bloomer....I am sure he is worth every penny!!! Puddin' Pie??? sounds like a cuite!

Lisa's site is awesome...Kurt has done his usual GREAT job!! Gordie needs Kurt to do his site! I saw about 5 paintings I could love in a heart beat!!!!!!

Met Lisa and Gordy at the show today. How funn -y are those two? Lisa also has a little chinese crested like mine which in our opinion are adorable. Gordy however had some other opinions of them and was absolutely hilarious. If you're reading Lisa, you can tell Gordy that I'll bring Sunshine into the gallery cause I just know how much he'd love to paint her and her tongue . BTW, registered her for the Grayton wall so see you on the 29th of April!

What is the Grayton Wall? Is it like the dog wall at the shopping place (name escapes me, but I love that one- always makes me tear up to see the dogs with halos). Where is it going to be? Did the other wall get too crowded?

No, not another wall. They've added 4 panels to that one and pet owners can sign up to have their pet added ($50 to charity). They'll be 2 local artists doing the rough sketches and then on 4/29, the owners will be painting their pet onto the wall. Same place as before Shops of Grayton wall.
