Roaming Bassett at the End of E. Pt. Washington Rd.

Big ol' white with reddish-brownish patches- hanging out at the "T" - where E. Point Wash deadends into the Shallows and dirt road through forest. Seemed to be looking for owner. Just saw- anyone know this dog?

Belongs to the Ellis family that lives part-time in the Shallows. Tends to get out and wander off a lot. Fuzz tries to let them know whenever he sees the dog. We have another couple of *large* dogs (who know who you are, if you read this - keep your dam dog in your own yard!) that terrorize the neighborhood and we don't want the bassett to tangle with them.

Sure would be nice if I could let my lab roam without worrying that someone would get hurt, hurt her, or be mad at us...

I felt so sorry for this dog- it truly looked like it was worried that it's family had forgotten they had a dog.

Angry Some idiots, don't deserve pets!

I get so pissed at these selfish people, that neglect their pets! I'd love to know how to reach them, for an ear full! It seems too obvious, with people already familiar, with the little lost soul! I've helped find homes for numerous pets and would gladly do, in this case! Hopefully, the little thing is safe, for now anyway!

Don't be afraid that your life will end,
be afraid that it will never begin.

If you see him again, give us a holler - if we aren't home, we will get it when we get home and then Fuzz can check with the owner. I know they were here last weekend, and the dog was in our yard at least once. We also have a family of deer just up the road - see them nearly every night - and tracking them might be what took the little fellow further up the road than he normally goes.

    Bassetts tug at the heartstrings...
