4.10 Project Headvoice - Music|Food|Art - Proceeds to benefit Children's Home Society
This Saturday is my birthday. And in true "Deklan" style, I'm going all out! There will be live music, food, and artwork at Funky Blues Shack in Baytowne Wharf. Fresh shrimp will be put to boil around 5 o'clock and everyone gets a free glass of wine with dinner.* There is a suggested donation of $20 to benefit the Children's Home Society of Florida, the organization I was adopted through.
"Adopting a child means giving a child every opportunity to do great things and succeed in life. The Children's Home Society is constantly making positive impacts in the lives of children and families in our local community, and that is why I am proud to support them in honor of my birthday."
- Troy Evans
I can't wait to see you there! Please tell your friends and bring a pal!

ABOUT PROJECT HEADVOICE: Renegade Artist Troy “Deklan” Evans presents PROJECT HEADVOICE—an exhibition of sensory stimulation featuring visual, edible and audible art. On the occasion of his birthday, artist & adoptee Troy “Deklan” Evans aims to raise awareness and funding for the organization through which he was adopted, The Children’s Home Society of Florida.
Troy “Deklan” Evans: Visual Artist - "An imaginative imagist" featured in several Pensacola Downtown Gallery Nights including Belmont Arts & Cultural Center 2009 #5 and Cabaret 2009 #6, Hot Glass Cold Beer @ the Belmont Arts & Cultural Center 2008, Paint it Black 2005 & 2006, and Seaside First Friday Art Walk 2007, 2008, 2009. His latest collection is inspired by “that little voice in the back of everyone’s mind… their headvoice.”
Lisa Christian: Audible Artist - “An unholy cross between Diana Krall and Ani DiFranco.” "Like a hurricane churning up the Gulf, Lisa Christian emerged on to the Austin blues scene like a storm surge! Her debut appearance in Austin has created quite a buzz within the entertainment industry, receiving plenty of positive feedback from blues aficionados." 6th Street Talent (Austin)
Cody Copeland: Visual / Audible Artist - ‘The soulfulness of Jeff Buckley with the style of Kanye West’. Call it bedroom rock, homemade orchestration, synth-soul, it makes little difference. (Let the music speak for itself). It’s simply revelatory poems/personal revelations set within a deep musical landscape. - CentralSquareRecords
Lisa Hinds: Visual Artist - Originally from Texas, Lisa has called South Walton home since the early 90's. An artist and writer from birth, her works are as diverse as she is....always evolving along with her life. Her work can be found at Albert F's in Seaside, FL as well as countless homes and offices throughout the South.
Children’s Home Society of Florida: Awesome Organization - The Children's Home Society of Florida is a community leader in providing high-quality, community-based solutions to meet the needs of individuals, families, and communities. Embracing children. Inspiring lives.
