30A Road Construction Alt. Route to 393/HWY 98

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has spent time waiting in traffic on 30A. Right now road construction clogs up at the intersection of 30A and 393. Having been caught several times and waiting 10 min or more to get through, I found an alternate way to get to 98 instead of turning back to the east and going up 83. From 30A, turn north onto Satinwood Drive, (across from Goatfeathers) go to the end of the road and turn left (west) onto Seacroft Rd. Follow it straight to 393 (you will come out near the church and cemetery.) The road is sandy and bumpy, but it will get you there if you don't have time to wait in traffic.

They were working West of 393 yesterday. Are they East of there today?

No, they are still working west of 393. Traffic is stopped at three different places to allow heavy equipment to move. The lines get long and traffic moves slow. When the road is clear only one lane is allowed to travel at a time. The three points where I was stopped today were Santa Rosa Beach Club (eastbound), and the south and west bound stop signs at 393. On the bright side it gives me the opportunity to slow down and take notice of this beautiful community I call home.
