Need Local Input for Fed. Govt. Health Insurance Choice!

Alright- y'all are the smartest people I know. Before I throw away hours of my life chasing down info and making my eyes bleed, here is the deal-

Bdarg is now an engineer at Eglin. So we get Fed benefits- wonderful! And a veritable smorgasbord of choices. I know there are quite a few locals employed at Eglin, Hurlburt, Tindall and other forms of Fed employment who have health insurance. What plan did you pick and why? We currently have BCBS of AL with our other employer.

    Thank you in advance!

And no, he is not driving a train.

I don't know anything about the plans offered by the government, but have spent the last 6 months trying to get insurance with a new carrier. Based on that research, it seems that BCBS is the most widely accepted and has the best rates. It's been a real pain to get our own individual insurance, so I'm really jealous that you're getting a smorgasbord of choices. Will you adopt me and my family?

Yes, BCBS is the obvious choice from what I am seeing. I probably could have figured that out without spending hours on sets of preference questions that ask the same questions in a bunch of different ways- supposed to help you make the best choice but it just caused my eyes to glaze over....
