We need a mold specialist
Can anyone recommend a reliable company to go out to our house and do whatever they do to test and see if mold is 'bad' or not? Thanks!

Mold
I saw you post and wanted to say that I am from New Orleans and had several water issues and ended up with some serious mold in my home without knowing it. The mold count in the air was so high it was toxic and I had to take my animals and myself and leave everything else to be cleaned or thrown away. I just want to stress that the mold itself does not have to be toxic mold but if you have enough of it growing in the walls, etc. it can be toxic. My 4 cats and 1 dog started getting sick with confusing issues the vets could not figure out and then I started getting sick, confusing issues doctors could not figure out. I ended up sick in bed breathing in the stuff that was making me sick and I did not know it. I saw something growing around a light fixture, thought it was dirt but it expanded and I realized it was mold. I called a environmentalist in the yellow pages and he came out and tested the air first to get a mold count. That was all he needed to do, The mold count in the air of my home was 270,000 comared to 4,000 outside. When he got the results he called and told me to leave immediately. If you are having health issues and see mold, take care of it immediately. I had to gut my house, have a certified, insured reputable remediation company clean everything in a certain manner and hire someone to renovate my home. It was a nightmare. I just don't want you to wait if you see a little mold and have been sick. It can cause serious problems and some can be irreversable. Once removed from the mold house, as I call it, after months we eventually all got it out of our systems and were o.k. and the problems we had went away. You have to get away from the source. If you care to call me and discuss it with me or have any questions, I'll be happy to talk to you. I had no idea mold could make animals and people so sick. Also some mold is toxic in and of itself also. Brenda (850) 622-3352. I really wish you well and hope it is not a big problem. Whatever you do get it tested and cleaned up. It does not go away it gets worse daily and fast!!
