oct restaurants? golf cart and bike rentals

Hello all

We are planning to be in Watersound in Oct. Are all the restaurants on 30A still open? Also any recommendations for golf cart rentals that can be delivered (best prices?) Bikes?

Make sure you rent a LSV (Low Speed Vehicle ) and not just a golf cart. You'll need an LSV if you plan to take it out on the road and even if you don't I believe Watersound, like Watercolor, only allows LSV's on the property - no golf carts. State licensed vehicles also require operator to have a license, no kids driving.

The only time I've seen restaurants closed is in January (after New Year's of course). But even then there are so many open that dining out is not a problem.

October is a gorgeous time to be at the beach. You'll love it! Actually we like fall, spring, and winter at the beach better than summer because it's not so hot.

A number of small restaurants will shut down for two weeks or so in the off season so the owners can take a vacation, but that usually happens in the November-Januaryish window. The area is far more year-round than it wa in the 90s.

However I would call ahead and check hours for any restaurants you plan on visiting. Many will have shorter hours compared to the summer season and some will have days of the week they'll close on.

Thanks to all who replyed to my questions....I did not know that about the golf carts. Its for the elderly parents so they can get to the beach...we will all have bikes
