I'm posting this for Ms. Behr, Cheerleader Sponsor SWHS

I am trying to get the clubs more involved with the Homecoming dance, since it ties into Homecoming festivities. Since the theme is "Around the World" this year, I have asked the kids to bring all the props and decorations they use for their cars/floats to help decorate the cafeteria before the dance next Saturday night, in addition to any other props they may need to use to make it more authentic. This gets the kids more involved and makes them feel that they are truly a part of it all, in addition to being able to express themselves creatively. My idea is that we have a section for each club/country in the cafeteria that they can work with. They can be as creative as they want (this also ties into Collaborative Learning ;) I'm thinking Epcot!

If anybody has anything that they'd like to lend us that facilitates a "cultural vibe," please let me know. Since there is no specific color scheme, anything will work: oriental rugs, drapes, and even old couches! Think Red Bar ;)
