See stink bugs here all the time. Have for years. Don't like them either, not too fond of one of them flying at me. Just wondering though if they actually put out some type of odor, the reason they are called stink bugs.

Yeah, the Today Show was talking about stink bugs and bed bugs this week. Pulleaze!

Yeah, I've been hearing the talk about the bed bugs, they say in hospitals they are not so much in the beds of the patients but in the chairs that are in the rooms that will recline back for someone to sleep in, makes me think twice now about sitting in one of those. And it sure makes me think about checking our bed at times, check it anyway for ticks, spiders, etc as there are brown recluses around here, shouldn't be any reason bed bugs would be in our home, hope not anyway, news stories I saw showed this one elderly woman's home had them, she was scared to get back in her bed, had bite places all over her arms, ugh.

One or two don't smelll, but when they swam it's pretty nasty. It's a defence mechanism. Squash one and get back with us!

I saw at least one news story recently stating that people were going crazy because of an increase in numbers of stink bugs lately.

We have about 6 Boxelder trees in our backyard. Last year we had a load of Boxelder bugs show up. They are harmless and were living in our pine islands near the trees. There were thousands upon thousands. I know it sounds gross, but I could could scoop up handfuls of them. It felt really cool to have hundreds of these little critters walking on your hands all at the same time.

In case you're wondering, here's a Boxelder bug. I'd wager most of you have seen one but not known what they were. They are small...about 1/2 tops...
