Order early and pick up on Thanksgiving Day at Cowgirl Kitchen

Cowgirl Kitchen is whippin’ up a great Thanksgiving feast.

Starting October 1st through 5 pm on November 20th, we’ll be taking orders for a Cowgirl Kitchen Thanksgiving Feast in your own home. All orders placed will be ready for pick-up between 9 am and noon on Thanksgiving Day (November 25th)! Here are just some of the goodies we have to offer:

• 10-12lb Smoked Turkey
• Cornbread Dressing
• Traditional Green Bean Casserole

• Maple-crusted French Toast Casserole

Harbor Docks in Destin traditionally has a 'pay whatever you want' Thanksgiving dinner that tends to be something of a community thing if anyone wants to find the actual Destin locals.

Publix now has an event planning center/staff to help you to order food for the holidays for big and small gatherings. I spoke with an associate at Publix Santa Rosa Beach (Hwy 98) and picked up a nice brochure which includes a menu of dinners/platters available for order, plus tips for party planning.

We dined at Great Southern Cafe today, and it was delicious. Spooning the garlic roasted pork over the smoked gouda cheese grits made a yummy grits and grillades. And the chocolate ganache wasn't bad either.

It was our first time dining there, but it won't be our last.
