Re: Cinco de mayo plans?
That sounds like alot of fun, I am headed down in about 3 weeks for 8 days and am really looking foward to getting away for awhile. I am bad about complaing that I dont live at the beach but I am fortunate to live so close.
-
Re: Cinco de mayo plans?
Beachdawg! No real plans for Friday but something may come up. Yes, you are very lucky to live so close. It's a 14 hour drive for us...needless to say we don't get there often enough. Enjoy your upcoming trip... it will be here before you know it!

Re: Cinco de mayo plans?

It will be worth the drive the first time you touch the sand and hear the waves.

I am married to futurebeachbum aka GTTBD! He does post on occasion.
Hope this helps! By the way, never say a GT bee never did anything for a Dawg!

We are the 3 original funns. I met Jfunn when I was in middle school when we used to come down to Grayton. I am originally from B'ham. We met Whitey at the opening of Luna Del Mar about 4 years ago. We convene on every New Year's Eve to raise hell in Sowal. We will all 3 be meeting for a wedding on May 21st as well. So look out!
Left to right...Wfunn, Kfunn, Jfunn

Allifunn is a new funn. She is Kirkifunn aka Kurt's sister. Kurt became Kirkifunn the night we met him and Toots. He drank so much Makers Mark he forgot his real name and became a Funn. So naturally Allifunn became a funn.
Sarafunn is Miss Kitty's daughter. Jfunn has raised hell with Sarafunn. She could also be a force.
Fubarfunn is Gttbm's daughter. He son is Cammifunn and husband is Justjason.
And just FYI...Parrothead74 or Phead is my little brother. Funn by association. Gussifunn is my dad and Debbysaurus Rex is my mother.

Re: Cinco de mayo plans?
Montgomery is a pretty fun town, ALOT has been done to the riverfront area of late (minor league baseball team) and hey we finally got draft beer a couple of years ago. BTW the Funn girls are pretty cute.
You can get into some trouble in Nashville too'John, I was first team All-State. I can put the ball anywhere I want to. I'll make it rain out here.

Re: Cinco de mayo plans?
Yeah, haven't been to the Riverfront in awhile. I can see the baseball stadium from the interstate (I guess because I know where to look). The Biscuits are my favorite! Butter Up!

Sangria and Guac all around baby cakes. If anyone's in the area...come on down! Or up- it's on the roof.

Re: Cinco de mayo plans?
Im pretty sure it would be hard to be on the wagon in NYC.. face it im sure you have access to quite a few more establishments than most. I would be in bad shape if I were up there.I did the 5 oclock am thing a few weeks ago and I cant do it like I used to. Thats why Im glad cinco is on a friday.

It is tough. There is ALWAYS something going on. Day drinking is funn too. Start at brunch then you can just keep on going. Bars are always full. I just hit a point where it was out of control. Between spending too much money and being on the brink of going to Betty Ford.

A little Buds, 1048 and you guessed it. Dont you just love the shag carpet and the stiff drinks, Then walking out into downtown Montgomery and seeing the sun coming up, and a homeless man asking for a buck.

Re: Cinco de mayo plans?
Yes, it would be the 5th of May, hence Cinco de Mayo for those who speak Spanish.

I'm boycotting Cinco de Mayo to do my part to show how empty Mexican restaurants would be without legal U.S. residents as customers.
