Got snow?
Do you have snow on the ground where you are, and how much?
-
Flurried here for several hours yesterday but did not stick. Had some sleet last night that changed to snow late and had snow overnight that provided just a dusting. But most is gone now. Had from flurries to a fine snow today on and off with nothing sticking though.

Yep, about 3'

3 feet???
I wouldn't be smiling.

It's different when you are used to it/can handle it and like a white Christmas. Was actually hoping for some more!
-
I would like a White Christmas but don't want 3 feet of snow ever. The most I remember seeing at one time when growing up was 14 inches of snow in Knoxville when I was around 4 years old. We have had 6 to 7 inches of snow here at a time during the past two winters, if I recall correctly, but that is enough for me. And many people here don't know how to drive in normal weather, much less rain/and or snow.

I live in Ky , and we got somewhere around 6 inches. It's weird, but everyone else around us got about 4 or less. It is the first white Christmas we've had here in 17 years. It's really pretty, but I am ready for warmer weather already! I guess that's why I love Florida so much!

This system did it's usual with us here in Memphis, most of the time the system stays north of us or dips just to the south of us and we get nothing or very little as was the case this time. Northwest Tn to Middle Tennessee got snow, and south of us in Northeast and Central Mississippi around Oxford and Bruce got snow. But we have been lucking up the past two or three years with one good snow a year.

We are in N.E. Ga. We got about 3 inches of snow that started about 5 pm. The roads are clear and we didn't lose power. Those two things make me very happy!
-
I have a friend in Blairsville, GA., they had 5 1/2 inches of snow by 5:00 last night and I think it was still snowing around 10:00. Their power had been flickering on and off all day yesterday. And they don't have a generator either. Don't know if they had more today. I just checked facebook and she posted 5 minutes ago that it is 21 degrees and still snowing. I am sure she will let me know how much more they have gotten since yesterday.

Not a lot....about an inch, but enough to make a magical white Christmas. Flurries for two days. Now I need a real snow for some sledding!
People will forget what you said.
People will forget what you did.
But people will never forget how you made them feel.

If it is going to be this cold at the beach, I wish we would have some snow.

The birds are going through several feeders of food every day- they are eating like birds whose food is covered by snow!

I'm in the NW corner Cobb County (north of Atlanta). Snow began falling at 10AM Christmas day. We had about 3 inches. The wind has caused some to evaporate, and thankfully, roads are now clear. Still very, very cold.
My parents and grandfather were here visiting from Port St. Joe. They enjoyed their first white Christmas since my grandfather was stationed in DC in 1951. It was wonderful!

We have about 2 inches here but it is cold, into the lower teens last night.
-
Very cold here - 7 degree wind chill but we only have a couple inches of snow. Life is good!

Lots
Here in Pennsylvania on the shores of Lake Erie, we have only about 8 inches on the ground now, expecting another 5-7 tomorrow. Sorry guys, but we call that a dusting. I feel for all the southern people who are not used to this. It's just another winter for us in the north.

I was just going to post the same thing - I just saw the report on NOAA/fb. Remarkable:
National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
Currently 49 out of 50 states—Florida is the exception—have snow on the ground. This includes Hawaii, where there are about seven inches of snow atop Mauna Kea. This unusual occurrence was made possible by this week’s snowstorm across the South. As of today, 69.4% of the contiguous U.S. is covered by snow—more than double the snow cover from last month.

Well, Memphis got another 2 to 2 1/2 inches of snow today. This seems like a powdery snow. But it makes a good snowball. Ours started around 12:30 today, we had drizzle all morning long up to that point, then for a bit the snow mixed with some sleet, and then back to snow until it quit around I guess 5:30? And it came down good for several hours. I've tried twice to upload a picture or two but both times have failed.

You can have that. I've already had enough for the winter. This stuff gets really messy when it gets to the slush stage. And the crud on your cars from the ice/sand mixture spread on the roads is not fun. And when the car washes are closed because of it being a below a certain temp you can't get it off of your car unless you do it yourself, and I'm not doing that when it's freezing cold.

Memphis is getting round three of the snow right now. Started about 35 minutes ago. Must be a record for here to have 3 in one month within 2 weeks of each other, much less that many in one winter.

I'm about over this snow business myself--really pretty for a while, then ugghh. What we all need is a trip to SoWal!
-
It's still snowing here, going on 5 hours now but there probably is only about a half inch on the ground, and it is not laying on our street. But the streets are really wet, it is 33 now, and is supposed to get down to 28 tonight, hope all the wet from the all day rain won't make the roads icy but at 28 it's very possible. They are showing 1 to 2 inches of snow for here.
