    Fabrice's - a new restaurant.

I have heard recent talk of a fantastic French Pastry chef who has opened a new place on Hwy 98 in the new buildings ( I think the name of the complex is South Haven) located about 2 miles east of the western intersection of 30A/98. Fabrice's (not sure of spelling) is open for breakfast and lunch currently. I have heard the breakfast pastries were a little pricey, but I hear that lunch is a bargain and darn tasty. I hope to check it out very soon. Fabrice's is owned and operated by Fabrice and his wife, whose name I do not know yet. If you are hungry and down that way, stop in an give them a try and let us know your take on the new casual restaurant.

We went there the other day and it was great! A real surprise to find it there. We thought it was just a bakery, but it's not. They have various salads and sandwiches and I saw a quiche that looked yummy. My tuna burger was very good. They were very busy when we were there. A great option for lunch.

Fabrice and Fabienne are proprietors - we ate lunch at their bakery/restaurant last week and it was excellent. My husband had the Croque Monsieur which was INCREDIBLE. I had the Roast Beef - also yummy. And my sons had the Turkey which they gobbled up. I love that the sandwiches are served with a salad, too, instead of chips or fries. Don't miss their bread and pastries, either. Fabrice is incredibly talented and they are the real deal - true French pastries.

Did you say croque monsieur? I will be there in a flash next month. Nothing beats a good hot ham and cheese with a French accent.

It's the real thing, too! Bechamel and toasted to perfection - as they say, everything in moderation!

Is this yummy sounding place anywhere near Inlet Beach? Sounds like a place I could enjoy and my husband also because of the breads and pastry.

No, it's at the Destin end of 30-A, not the Panama City Beach end, which is the one closest to Inlet Beach. However, it sounds good enough to make the drive, doesn't it??

We had to drive into Destin last month and I noticed it was still going strong. That name Fudpuckers always cracks me up.

you have to try his chocolate, and truffels. Fabrice is one of the most talented dessert chef's in this area. I have worked with him and known him for some time and he is a perfectionist to say the least. Next time you think you need something sweet for your girl......go see him. They are the bombtastic!

    Re: Fabrice's - a new restaurant.

We went to Fabrice's yesterday and it was awesome - croque monsieur was delicious, served with a green salad (yippe - no fries or chipes for a change!), breakfast croissant was also divine and our girls thoroughly enjoyed croissants and pastries. Fabrice and Fabienne were very welcoming and we hope to see loads of them - and as SJ said, prices are also so so nice and refreshing!

Fabrice told us that he will soon start offering dinner one night a week (saturday) and that it will be a fixed menu at set price - given how tasty his lunch was we cannot wait till this is offered!

    Re: Fabrice's - a new restaurant.

I just returned from lunch at Fabrice. It was awesome. The food tasted like real food should taste. It was all very fresh and made my heart smile. As I looked around the room at the other plates of food, I noticed that all of them looked so delicious. Prices were great. I will attach the menu later today. Fabrice came over to my table and remembered me from our meeting almost a year ago when we were both at WaterColor letting our dogs play. I thought Fabrice and Fabienne (sp?) when I met them the first time, and now after seeing there quaint bistro, I think they are way cool. I was a little hesitant to post this, because I am selfish and want a table when I go there in the future. Fabrice and Fabienne both told be to keep it quiet. They want to keep it small and quaint. -- Too bad! Now you guys know where to go for a healthy lunch which tastes great and leaves you feeling healthy when you leave. Note- I did not finish my meal with the delightfully tasty looking desserts.

I think Fabrice needs to be SoWalled!
    Great Job, Fabrice!!!

Let me add my name to those singing the praises of Fabrice. We carried out the Croque Monsieur yesterday and it was plenty for two and it was absolutely delicious.

The Croque Monsieur sounds delicious. I definitely could eat that. And the tuna burger and the roast beef sandwich sounds delicious also. That might be a little far from PC Beach. Isn't SRB near Fort Walton Beach? My parents and I stayed a couple of times back when my son was 2 and 3 at Fort Walton Beach and I remember a Santa Rosa Sound, and there was a good restaurant at the time called Liollio's. Do not believe it is there now though.

Santa Rosa Beach covers all of the well-known beach communities of 30A. Fabrice is located on Hwy 98 about 1 mile east of the western intersection of 30A and Hwy 98.
