Oceanfront One bedroom - No pool
I am considering purchasing a unit in area (Seagrove to Blue mountain) and found one that seemed to be priced well. Just wanted to hear the group's opinion on the quality of 1 bedroom over 2 bedroom and the lack of pool as a possible downside.
I would like to use myself as 2nd and rent. My instinct tells me I should keep looking for a larger unit (2 beds or cottage vs condo) with a pool in complex.
Also, as far as insurance costs. Have these gotten any better
Thanks in Advance

your Realtor will be able to help you with those kinds of questions. Ask him or her to get a rental history for the unit for you. Remember that almost everyting was 'way down last year, so look at previous years history.
Generally, if you are looking to rent you need to be gulf front or really near, especially if there is no pool. For rental I think having a pool is a plus and the closer to the beach the better, especially in the recovering market.A people that values its privileges above its principles soon loses both.

It is always easier to rent a 2br over a 1br. You can always drop your rent price on a 2br if you have to but you can't add an extra br. Almost everyone wants a pool now in case the gulf is too rough or there is june grass, jellyfish, etc.

Yep - 2 br has much more flexibility.
