    Fresh Yeast??

    Anyone know where in the local area I can find fresh yeast? I've already checked the usual suspects, Fresh Market, etc..
    Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    It's pretty hard to find for the home user down here. Your best bet would be to call some local bakeries, restaurants, or pizza places and try to buy some off them (Donut Hole, maybe?). Publix will order special items, you just have to fill out a form. The one bad thing about fresh yeast is that it has a short shelf life. Fresh yeast is also called "cake yeast", if that helps.
