Runaway Sailboat Rescued Off Grayton Query
Was wondering if there were any interesting facts about the disabled sailboat rescued by (I think) the Walton sheriff's team in all that wind Thursday afternoon. It looked like that sailboat was almost too large to be towed off in that surf!

Pretty scary. I'm pretty sure there are some photos of this...

We saw a disabled sailboat in front of One Seagrove Place then kept watching as it got closer. All of the sails were down and we were afraid it was in distress. I called 911 and the sheriff said he'd get someone to check it out. As it got closer, we realized it was being pulled by a boat. The sheriff called me and said they had checked it out and it looked stable, but since it was getting dark, they'd call the marina at Panama City to be on the lookout for them.
Is that the one you were referring to, Milly?

Wow. Yes that had to be the same situation, except we saw it to the west of you (near the Red Bar beach) just after the sheriff tied itself to the sailboat. I guess it all worked out for the good, since it's not in the news.
