Old bank statements, credit card come-ons, medical records – all those personal, private sensitive documents you don’t dare throwaway.
Now, finally, you can get rid of them at Santa Rosa Mall in Mary Esther on Friday, Oct. 28, and know they won’t come back to haunt you.
The Better Business Bureau is hosting a shredding event from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Residents can bring up to 50 pounds of documents and have them shredded at no charge.
Documents should be removed from binders but staples and paper clips can be left to be shredded. Do not tie bags or tape boxes and organizers request you stay in your automobile when dropping off items.
The event is part of the BBB efforts to help consumers protect their personal identity.
