4th Annual Elf Ride!!!

The 4th Annual Elf Ride has been scheduled!

When: Dec. 4th, 2011 Meet at 1:00pm and start riding about 1:30pm
Where: Seaside Post Office

Details: People of all ages bike from the Seaside Post Office to the Water Color Fire Station. The Ride is to benefit the SWFD Angel Tree. We ask all riders or families to bring an UNWRAPPED gift to benefit the Angel Tree. Decorate your bike for the fun of it and possibly a contest might take place! Refreshments and tours will be given at the Fire Station. Come joins the fun!!! "The Sight of a child not getting to open a Christmas gift is UNIMAGINABLE." Please come help a great cause, and invite your friends!!!!

Lets make the 4th Annual the biggest Elf Ride yet!!! There are more needy kids this year, which means we need more gifts, and to get more gifts we need lots of "elves"! Another wonderful year in the books! Thank you to SWFD for hosting the Elf Ride. Also want to thank this years sponsors: Seaside Stores, Seaside bicycle taxis, SWFD, Beefobradys, and Publix!. We raised over 50 gifts and had over 40 people there today! Join us next year. Santa will be there, and costume contests, and much much more. Look for more details next year! ELF RIDE A SUCCESS

(Santa Rosa Beach) – The South Walton Fire District’s (SWFD) 4th Annual Elf Ride held on
Dec. 4, 2011 proved to be a great success. Elves of all ages met at the Seaside Post Office
at around and rode their bikes or walked to the SWFD’s Water Color Station 2 located at
2109 CR 395 South, in Seagrove.

An unwrapped toy was the only entry fee requirement for this 1.5 mile bike/walk charity
event. All the toys collected directly benefitted the 300 names on the SWFD Angel Tree.
Elf Ride creator Luke Thompson (age 14) was once again the “Grand Elf” for the event. Luke
created this event at age 10. “This event keeps getting bigger and bigger every year”, said
Luke.

Fire station tours, music, pictures with Santa and refreshments from local businesses were
provided for all in attendance. Gift certificates from Beef O Brady’s were given to the best
costume, best decorated bike and youngest elf that completed the event (2 yrs old).

The South Walton Fire District would like to thank all the participants that helped make this
event a success. SWFD would also like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season
