Specials
Since we have a set menu, our daily special features are our chef’s opportunity to get creative and come up with a feature that differs from everything else we have on the menu. What they come up with a feature that they make at home for their families and want to share with our guests, something they are personally craving that day, an item they have wanted to try or something that they feel our guests would enjoy based on the time of year/weather like a from scratch chicken potpie on a cold day. As far as the pricing is concerned, I have had the grouper po-boy at Seagrove Market Café and while it’s fantastic, it is a dwarf in comparison and, btw, Chef Shaun’s homemade Garlic Chili Sauce is out-of-this world good; it makes this po-boy stand out against the rest! All po-boys are not equal therefore, neither are the prices. You can always find better or worse prices somewhere. Personally, if I’m the mood for a burger, I eat my FAVORITE burger, not the cheapest or the most expensive. Price doesn’t matter to me, quality does. We are here everyday making every sauce, vinaigrette, dessert, everything, from scratch to give you the highest quality. Example, I’m sure you could make our Pina Colada Cake using a ready made white chocolate mousse, canned pineapple, pre-toasted coconut, boxed cake mix, etc. in a portion of the time we do but we actually make every component* of that cake from scratch, using fresh ingredients, daily. We use much, much, more labor than most places because of this but it shows in our quality. Labor is factored into the price (like any business); therefore, you get what you pay for. You may still prefer the cake that wasn’t made from scratch (that comes down to your personal preference) but we always bring you a quality dish that was made with care.
*we don’t make the Myers Dark Rum ;)
