Anybody else get the "Dry Cough" sickness?

I know a few people besides myself who have gotten an illness that starts with a dry night time cough for a week or so and progresses to a kind of cold then a lingering dry cough that persists for a few more weeks. Any one else out there?

I've been having similar symptoms for about a week now. Not really a cold, just a lingering cough...
My mind tends to wander... but fortunately, it's so weak, it doesn't get very far...

There is a lot of pollen out there right now. I cannot remember what it is that is blooming but it could be the culprit. Those sound very much like allergy induced asthma symptoms. Maybe Dr. Skunk can weigh in.
