Pure 7 Studios hosts ‘Celebration of Smiles’ Event on April 21

Changing a child’s life can be as easy as posing for a picture.

As part of the nationwide “Celebration of Smiles” campaign, the Destin-based wedding and portrait photographers at Pure 7 Studios are teaming up with photographers around the world to raise donations to benefit Operation Smile.

“Giving back by doing these types of projects makes me feel like I’m truly using my gift of photography for what God intended,” shared head photographer, Ryan Manthey

The international children’s charity has been providing free surgeries to children born with cleft lip or cleft palate. Since 1982, Operation Smile – through the help of medical volunteers – has provided more than 2 million patient evaluations and more than 200,000 free surgeries.

On April 21, Pure 7 Studios will be holding a local “Celebration of Smiles” event and for a minimum donation of $24, the studio will provide a free mini session complete with a desk-size portrait of yourself or a loved one. One hundred percent of your donation goes to Operation Smile whose goal is to “change a child’s life, one smile at a time.”

For as little as $240 Operation Smile can perform a cleft lip/palate surgery that would save a child from ridicule, and in some cases death. According to World Health Organization statistics, cleft lips/palates occur in approximately one out of every 5600 to 700 births.

To learn more about Pure 7 Studios “Celebration of Smiles” event or to make an appointment, call 850-654-6523. Complimentary food & refreshments provided by Marlin Grill, Jim N’ Nicks, and Sweet for Sirten.

The team at Pure 7 Studios invites the community to come out and support a worthwhile cause while taking home a professional portrait. For every 10 smiles they photograph on April 21, one life will be changed forever.

“After traveling the world with Planting Peace and seeing firsthand children in need, this opportunity was one I was so thrilled to be a part of,” states photographer, Lindsey Bray.
